Shiraz
Colour: Dark plum red.
Bouquet: Voluptuous blackberry with a sprinkling of pepper.
Palate: Big explosive mouthful of dark fruits of the forest, with hints of chocolate, mocha and charred oak integrated with fine-grained tannins. A fine expression of a Pyrenees Shiraz.
Cellaring: Can be enjoyed now, but will reward cellaring for up to 3 years.
From the Winemaker: Approachable now, but this wine will reward patience – up to around five years.
From the Chef: Serve with a slow-cooked lamb casserole, or with a plum-glazed rack of lamb with spring vegetables.
